The UK Government has introduced
new rules on tobacco products. Packs
must be compliant by May 2017, but you
will start to see changes before then.

CIGARETTES - WHAT IS CHANGING?

  • No branded packaging, standardised drab brown colour
  • The brand name must be printed in the same standardised font, size and case
  • There will be no tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide information
  • Top down pictorial health-warning covering 65% of the front and back
  • Text health warnings must also cover 50% of the sides of the pack
  • Minimum pack size of 20 cigarette sticks
  • Only flip-top lid and shoulder box hinged lid cigarette packs permitted
  • Menthol and menthol click capsule cigarette products will be banned in May 2020
